About the role

Smile Education is currently working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Greater Manchester to recruit qualified and committed QTS Teachers for the new academic year starting September 2026. There are multiple opportunities available across a range of subject specialisms, offering both long-term and potential permanent roles within supportive school environments. Schools are actively seeking reliable, adaptable, and subject-confident teachers to join their teams for September starts. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers looking to secure a new role for the upcoming academic year, with options available to suit different preferences, locations, and subject areas.   Role Overview As a QTS Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons within your subject specialism, supporting students across KS3–KS5 (depending on role), and contributing to a positive learning environment. Roles may vary depending on the school, but all positions involve maintaining high standards of teaching, behaviour management, and student engagement.   Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and structured lessons within your subject area Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners Maintain strong classroom behaviour in line with school expectations Support students’ academic progress and attainment Create a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times  Requirements The successful candidate will: Hold QTS or a recognised teaching qualification Have experience teaching within a secondary school setting Demonstrate strong subject knowledge Be confident in classroom and behaviour management Be professional, reliable, and adaptable Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)  Pay & Benefits £170 – £235 per day, dependent on experience Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles Roles starting September 2026 for the new academic year Flexible opportunities across multiple schools Dedicated consultant support throughout Ongoing guidance and career support  Safeguarding & Compliance Smile Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
