Mechanical Inspector

Mechanical Inspector £15-20 p/h plus overtime potential at enhanced rate I'm looking for a hands-on Mechanical Inspector to join a thriving and expanding engineering business in Knutsford. As a Mechanical Inspector, you'll be at the heart of the quality process, ensuring every component meets the highest standards. Your role will include: Inspecting CNC-machined parts (first-off inspections) Using precision tools such as micrometers, verniers, and height gauges Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (imperial measurements) Comparing CAD designs with finished components Completing quality documentation and supporting issue resolution Managing non-conforming parts via an ERP system Working with advanced equipment like CMM and FARO arms (full training provided)You'll thrive in this role if you: Have a mechanical or engineering background (apprenticeship or experience) Have worked in machining, automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering Can confidently read engineering drawings and use inspection tools Understand ISO9001:2015 quality standards Are detail-driven, reliable, and proactive Are comfortable using computers and completing documentation Enjoy working as part of a team with a positive, can-do attitudeBenefits: Competitive pay: £15-£20 per hour (depending on experience) Overtime at premium rates Employee Assistance Programme (free, confidential support) Company pension scheme Medical cash plan (dental, optical, physio & more) Ongoing training and development opportunities Long service recognition awards Extra holiday with length of serviceWR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
