A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers, LGV Drivers and C+E Tramper Drivers to join our professional transport team based at our Meriden depot .

The Role

As a Class 1 Tramper Driver (C+E) , you will operate modern articulated vehicles and walking floor trailers, delivering bulk materials and palletised loads nationwide.

What's Involved?

• 4 on / 4 off tramping shift pattern
• Working away from home during your shift block
• Nationwide deliveries across the UK
• Operating modern walking floor trailers
• Bulk haulage and general haulage work
• Previous walking floor experience is an advantage, however full training is available
• Variety of work with a respected national logistics operator

This role is ideal for professional drivers who enjoy independence, responsibility, and a varied workload.

Pay & Benefits

Excellent Earnings Package

• £16.50 per hour
• No break deductions
• Minimum 42 hours per week guaranteed
• Approximate annual equivalent earnings of £45,000+
• £26.20 tax-free nightly allowance
• £10.00 tax-free daily meal allowance

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum of 6 penalty points
• Good understanding of UK and EU Drivers' Hours Regulations
• Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience preferred
• Bulk haulage or walking floor experience advantageous but not essential
• Maximum bodyweight of 22 stone due to fall-arrest gantry safety systems
