Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for an experienced and commercially aware Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team, delivering a range of social housing refurbishment and regeneration schemes across the region. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an established contractor on projects that make a real difference to communities, including planned maintenance, retrofit, decarbonisation, and wider regeneration works. As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with operational teams, clients, and subcontractors, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably and efficiently while maintaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities * Managing project costs and budgets across multiple schemes * Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts * Subcontract procurement and account management * Monitoring cash flow and forecasting * Identifying and managing commercial risks * Supporting the delivery team with contractual and commercial advice * Producing accurate cost reports for senior management * Ensuring compliance with contract terms and company procedures * Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders Requirements * Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry * Experience working on social housing, refurbishment, retrofit, or regeneration projects preferred * Strong understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts * Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines * Good communication and relationship-building skills * Full UK driving licence What We Offer * Competitive salary and package * Car allowance or company vehicle * Pension scheme * Career progression opportunities * Supportive and collaborative working environment * Opportunity to work on meaningful community-focused projects If you are looking to join a contractor with a strong pipeline of social housing and regeneration work and want to be part of a growing commercial team, we would love to hear from you
