A professional, supportive and challenging working environment is offered, recognising the importance of an experienced commercial team.Due to continued success across developments in Aberdeen, there is an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role within the commercial function, providing leadership and commercial oversight across multiple projects.The RoleAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the full commercial management of projects, supporting operational teams while driving value, controlling risk and maximising profitability.Key responsibilities include:Leading the day-to-day commercial and surveying activities across allocated projectsProviding commercial leadership to project teams and mentoring junior surveyorsWorking closely with Project Managers to ensure full understanding of commercial performance, risks and opportunitiesPreparing, managing and reviewing project cost plans and forecasts through all stages of the project lifecycleLeading the procurement of subcontract packages, issuing tender enquiries, analysing returns and producing detailed tender reportsMeasuring and valuing works carried out on site, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirementsProducing monthly valuations, cost value reconciliations, commercial reports, and managing variations and change controlProactively managing risk, margin and cash flow while maintaining a strong focus on health & safetyEnsuring compliance with subcontract conditions, agreeing final accounts and authorising subcontractor paymentsActing as a commercial point of reference for the wider business, reporting to senior management as requiredThis role requires the confidence and experience expected of a Senior Quantity Surveyor, with accountability for commercial performance and project outcomes.About YouDo you:Hold an honours degree in Quantity Surveying?Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a contracting Quantity Surveying role, operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level or ready to step up?BenefitsEarly finish on Fridays (3:30pm)32 days annual holiday entitlementAccess to Wellbeing Champions and Mental Health First AidersGenerous contributory personal pension schemeSalary exchange pension with employer National Insurance savings includedProfit share schemeExcellent death in service coverEmployee Assistance Programme including up to five counselling sessions
