About the role

We’re looking for a determined, energetic, and pro-active Sales Manager for Groups, Meetings & Events to turn leads into bookings, ideas into action and keep the numbers climbing at The Hoxton, Edinburgh. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you’ll be responsible for creating and managing a portfolio of accounts driving groups, meetings and events into The Hoxton, Edinburgh. If you’re great with people, have relevant experience in a hotel sales environment and are looking to join our growth journey, this is just the ticket. Set across 11 beautiful Georgian townhouses, we’re home to 214 bedrooms, a lively open lobby and bar, an all-day Italian trattoria Patatino, a retro-inspired cinema, a flexible and super-size event space called The Get Together, and The Apartment – our unique signature spot for meetings, private dinners and memorable gatherings. The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Ever since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve never just been about offering a bed for the night. We want to be more than that: proving style doesn’t need to be sacrificed for good value and providing a place where guests can hang out alongside the locals and submerse themselves in the neighbourhood with vibrant, welcoming public spaces. Competitive salary. ~29 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension and life insurance. ~ Food on us during your shift. ~ Enjoy a free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two when you first start with us. ~ Training to get you settled into your role with ongoing development that helps you think, make and thrive to set you up for success at work. ~ An annual diversity and inclusion calendar of events creating opportunities for you to learn, celebrate and make a positive impact. ~ The chance to challenge the norm and work in an environment that is both creative and rewarding. ~ Excellent discounts across The Hoxton and the global Ennismore family. Working closely with our Director of Sales, you’ll actively win over new business and manage key relationships while working towards segment revenue goals and KPIs. Responsible for developing and growing key accounts within the following market segments: Prepare and execute creative sales strategies to source, drive and grow our revenues from your managed accounts. Generate new business through market research and liaising closely with ACCOR and the Hoxton Global Sales Team. We’ll look to you to build up Account Management Plans, making sure you’re “in the know” on the latest market news and competitor insights too. Complete all other duties, tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of Sales. Identify and pursue new group business opportunities in corporate, social, and event segments. Build and maintain long-term relationships with group clients, including event planners, corporate clients, and associations. Conduct sales presentations, site inspections, and client meetings to promote the property’s group facilities and services. Analyse groups & events data and market trends to refine sales strategies. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards. Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night. We leave our egos at the door and help get things done. Someone with at least 3 years proven experience in proactive sales and key account management, in the hotel industry, who can make a quick impact on our team. Someone with high energy, ready to represent The Hoxton brand at industry tradeshows, networking events, sales calls & trips. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
