- As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for developing and managing daily and weekly production plans to meet customer demand while maximising operational efficiency and minimising waste.
You will ensure alignment between sales forecasts, stock levels, labour availability, and production capacity to deliver on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance.
Main Duties / Responsibilities: Develop and maintain daily and weekly production plans.
Sequence production schedules to optimise efficiency and changeovers.
Adjust plans in response to downtime, shortages, and demand changes.
Monitor adherence to plan and escalate risks proactively.
Influence Production, Technical and Commercial teams to ensure plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned to business priorities.
Ensure planning decisions support compliance with food safety, allergen control, and traceability requirements.
Maintain planning data within ERP systems ensuring accuracy.
Analyse KPIs including OTIF, MLOR, Attainment.
Support audit readiness through accurate planning and documentation.
Support stock control and material availability.
Support continuous improvement and planning automation.
Support NPD launches and trials coordination.
Essential Criteria Production planning experience Advanced Excel capability (pivot tables, lookups, data modelling) Strong analytical skills 2 A-Level qualifications at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification GCSE English and Maths or equivalent, Grade C or above Flexible approach to working hours. xwzovoh
