Mobile Fabric Engineer (NW London)

Reference: 100149ROLE: Mobile Fabric EngineerLOCATION: North West London (MET Police Contract)At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day.We're looking for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to deliver high‑quality building fabric maintenance across a range of Metropolitan Police sites in North West London.Role ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs across designated MET Police buildings.Perform carpentry, basic plumbing, painting, plastering, and general building fabric maintenance as required.Complete minor repairs to fixtures, fittings, doors, walls, partitions, and building finishes.Ensure all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and in accordance with contractual SLAs and KPIs.Maintain accurate records using Mitie systems, including job sheets, asset updates, and compliance documentation.Liaise professionally with the client and site personnel, ensuring minimal disruption to sensitive environments.Diagnose issues, propose solutions, and escalate complex problems when required.Participate in the out-of-hours rota (where applicable) to support emergency call‑outs on police estates.Required QualificationsApplicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:Proven experience in a building fabric or multi‑trade position (carpentry preferred but not essential).Full UK driving licence (mobile role with van provided).Strong understanding of health & safety standards and safe working practices.Ability to work independently across multiple sites with excellent problem‑solving skills.Ability to pass and maintain Metropolitan Police vetting (essential) - which could take from 7-10 months What's in it for you?A role with purpose—supporting critical MET Police estates across North West London.Company vehicle, fuel card, tools, uniform, and full PPE provided.Access to Mitie's industry‑leading training, development, and career‑progression pathways.Employee benefits including discounts, pension scheme, life assurance, and wellbeing support.A supportive, collaborative environment where your skills make a real difference every day.Ref:100149 Location:London Employment:Full time Role Classification:3
