CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator Location: Derby Area Salary: £18.00 - £22.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience) Hours: Monday to Thursday (4-Day Week) Contract: Permanent Actio Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company based in the Derby area. Due to continued growth and a strong workload, our client is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their team. Working within a busy machine shop, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines producing high-quality precision components in low-volume and small batch quantities. Key Responsibilities * Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls * Manufacturing precision components to customer specifications and engineering drawings * Producing low-batch and one-off components for a variety of industries * Selecting tooling and optimising machining processes * Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections * Ensuring components are manufactured to the highest quality standards * Maintaining a safe and organised working environment Requirements * Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator * Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls * Experience programming at the machine * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Experience working within a subcontract manufacturing environment * Competent in the use of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges Benefits * £18.00 - £22.00 per hour depending on experience * 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday) * Permanent position with an established business * Varied and interesting machining work * Supportive and friendly working environment If you are an experienced CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator looking for a new opportunity in the Derby area, please apply today with your latest CV.
