Mechanical Site Manager

Mechanical Site Manager (Building Services) – Data Centre Projects Birmingham - Site-based Due to continued growth, a leading specialist engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to support the delivery of a major, 2-year data centre project in Birmingham. This role will focus on the mechanical installation package, including HVAC systems, chilled water systems, pipework, plant rooms, chillers and associated mechanical building services infrastructure. Key Responsibilities * Manage on-site mechanical installation activities from start to completion * Coordinate subcontractors, labour & site resources * Oversee installation of HVAC, chilled water, pipework & mechanical plant systems * Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme & to required quality standards * Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks & progress reporting * Coordinate with project management, design & commissioning teams * Ensure compliance with H&S procedures, technical standards & client requirements * Support testing, commissioning & project handover activities Requirements * Previous experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within Building Services * Strong background delivering mechanical packages on large-scale projects * Data centre / critical infrastructure experience highly beneficial * Good understanding of HVAC, chillers, CRAC units, pipework & mechanical plant installations * SMSTS / SSSTS & CSCS required * Strong organisational & communication skills * Ability to manage multiple subcontractors & fast-paced programmes * First Aid Package * Competitive salary (DOE) * Long-term career progression * 2-year project * Professional development & training opportunities * Permanent role with ongoing major project work * Profit-related bonus This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering business delivering high-profile critical infrastructure projects nationwide
