WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Supporting the rollout and continuous improvement of environmental and sustainability systems * Assisting with ISO 14001 implementation and compliance activities * Monitoring energy usage, waste, carbon reporting, and environmental performance data * Working alongside operational and project teams to improve sustainable delivery across live projects * Supporting audits, compliance reporting, and environmental documentation * Contributing toward Net Zero strategies and sustainability action plans * Supporting BREEAM-related activities and low-carbon project initiatives * Learning how sustainability actually works inside a commercial engineering environment - not just in theory WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR * Degree qualified (or nearing completion) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar * Strong interest in sustainability, compliance, carbon reduction, or environmental management * Organised, commercially aware, and proactive * Someone who wants progression - not just a placeholder graduate role * Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple departments * Good Excel / Microsoft Office capability BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE * Exposure to ISO standards, carbon reporting, BREEAM, or environmental compliance * Internship, placement year, or project experience within sustainability or engineering * Knowledge of UK environmental legislation or Net Zero frameworks WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT A lot of graduate sustainability roles are heavy on admin and light on ownership.
