Are you confident reading and interpreting architectural drawings? Are you looking for a role where you can help shape a growing division within a dynamic and forward-thinking contractor? This reputable commercial main contractor delivers high-quality new build projects typically ranging from £8m£15m in value.
Due to continued growth and expansion, the business is now seeking to appoint an in-house Design Manager to bridge the gap between design and delivery and strengthen project coordination across the business.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and technically strong individual looking to progress within a stable and highly respected contractor offering genuine long-term career development.
The Role: Managing the design process for new build care home projects from pre-construction through to completion Coordinating and managing the design process across RIBA Stages 25 Liaising with external architects, consultants and subcontractors Reviewing drawings and technical information for buildability, compliance and value engineering opportunities Coordinating with construction teams to ensure smooth project delivery Leading and chairing design meetings with internal and external stakeholders Managing technical queries and ensuring information is issued correctly and on programme Carrying out quality reviews and ensuring design standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle The Person: Architectural Technologist qualification or equivalent Previous experience within a Design Manager or technical coordination role Experience working on new build construction xwzovoh projects Strong understanding of construction processes and buildability Excellent knowledge of RIBA Stages 35 Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Full UK Driving Licence Package: £60,000
