Position: Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Edinburgh Park + site visits
Salary: from £53,280 – £88,800 (role level dependent)
Employment: Permanent / Hybrid
Closing Date: 1st July 2026
What You’ll Do
- Prepare tender documents and negotiate tender prices, payment schedules and terms and conditions.
- Produce monthly valuations, commercial reports, and financial updates.
- Apply contractual levers, including advance warnings, variations and change control processes.
- Attend or lead commercial meetings with partners and stakeholders.
- Agree final accounts and maintain accurate commercial records.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and industry standards.
- Manager and mentor junior staff (senior level only).
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (consultancy or contracting).
- Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of procurement and cost management.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
- MRICS status (Desirable).
- Transmission or utilities sector experience (Desirable).
- Familiarity with a range of contract forms including FIDIC and NEC3/NEC4.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- MS Office proficiency.
- Full UK Driving Licence – mandatory (occasional travel to sites).
