As the Solutions Architecture and Development Manager, you will play an integral role in providing strategic and technical leadership for application development and AI-driven solutions across the University.
You will be responsible for the line management of a team of Developers and AI/Python specialists, offering advice and guidance when required and ensuring all solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
This is a really exciting time of growth for the University, and we need your expertise to ensure our systems are as effective and as efficient as possible.
Your accountabilities and responsibilities include: Define and maintain solution architecture principles, patterns, and guardrails for enterprise applications, integrations, and data flows Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a coherent technical architecture Lead the adoption of AI and machine learning capabilities Lead the design and implementation of secure and scalable integrations across the Universitys application ecosystem Our main requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience Track record of leading development teams and delivering complex application or integration projects Significant experience designing or architecting enterprise software solutions Strong architectural understanding of application design, API standards, secure coding, and integration patterns At University of the Built Environment we expect employees to demonstrate our values: Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Support.
