Were looking for a hands-on Fitter to join our client, assembling bespoke timber garden buildings at customer locations.

The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.

Youll be responsible for constructing and fitting structures, carrying out carpentry work, installing roofs, and delivering a polished finish.

Training will begin in theworkshop before moving onto site-based projects.

Main Duties: Assemble and install timber garden buildings according to company specifications.

Interpret construction plans to build frames, walls, doors, windows, and roofs.

Undertake carpentry and joinery tasks, making adjustments on site as needed.

Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., saws, drills, nail guns).

Fit roofing and ensure buildings are fully weatherproof.

Safely handle and move heavy materials, maintaining health and safety standards.

Apply finishes such as paint or sealants to complete the build.

Interact professionally with customers, representing the company positively.

Complete an Enhanced DBS check once fully working on sites (not required initially).

Who theyre looking for: Previous experience in carpentry, construction, or assembly-related work (preferred).

Confident using both hand and power tools.

Able to work outdoors and lift heavy items regularly.

Basic numerical and measurement skills.

Reliable and able to travel or relocate to Burton on Trent.

Due to location candidates must have own transport.
