There are plenty of Client Manager roles in the market.
Very few genuinely stand out.

We are currently representing one of the most impressive independent accountancy practices we work with — a firm that has continued to grow significantly whilst still maintaining the culture, flexibility and people-first approach that originally made them successful.
Despite now employing over 100 staff, the practice remains owner-managed and fiercely independent, which has allowed them to create genuine long-term progression opportunities right through to senior leadership level.

The firm has recently promoted team members into senior leadership positions internally, including individuals who originally joined at trainee level. They are passionate about developing people properly and creating careers, not simply filling seats.
This role is far more than portfolio management.
They are looking for somebody who wants to become a genuine trusted advisor to clients, support junior team development and play an active part in the future growth of the practice.
You will be trusted, listened to and given the autonomy to build strong client relationships properly.
The Opportunity:
• Managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
• Acting as the main point of contact and trusted advisor
• Reviewing accounts and tax work
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Working closely with senior leadership on client strategy
• Building long-term relationships with clients
• Supporting workflow management and team development

The ideal candidate will already have experience within UK accountancy practice and enjoy both the technical and relationship side of working with clients.
