Operations Director Location: London & Southeast Salary: Up to £130,000 + Car / Travel Allowance Company: Tier 1 Maintenance Contractor Sector: Social Housing - Responsive Repairs & Voids The Role Regen Solutions is currently working with one of the sector's fastest-growing maintenance contractors in their search for a high-performing Operations Director. Driven by recent framework wins and rapid regional expansion, they are scaling their senior leadership team. They are seeking an experienced Operations Director to take full operational and commercial responsibility for £30m-£50m worth of social housing repairs and maintenance contracts. All contracts will be based across the Southeast, focusing primarily on responsive repairs, emergency maintenance, and void property refurbishments, damp & mould / disrepair for local authority and housing association clients. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working alongside the Commercial Director, you will lead a large operational framework including Operations Managers, Contract Managers, Supervisors, and direct labour/subcontractor workforces. Key Responsibilities & Requirements Contract Delivery: Strategic leadership across day-to-day responsive repairs, voids, and minor works contracts, ensuring KPIs, SLAs, and customer satisfaction targets are consistently hit. Commercial Acumen: Full P&L responsibility, overseeing cash flow, cost management, and operational profitability alongside the commercial team. Client Relationships: Act as the key executive contact for housing associations and local authority clients, building long-term partnerships and managing framework performance. Safety & Quality: Drive a zero-harm, work-safe culture and maintain high standards of Health & Safety, compliance, and quality across all contracts. Leadership & Team Management: Direct and mentor a multi-tiered operational team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture. Planning & Reporting: Produce and present detailed progress and performance reports to the Board and client stakeholders. Technical Proficiency: Strong IT skills (MS Office, MS Project) with the ability to review operational schedules, programs, and resource planning. Candidate Profile Proven experience operating at a senior operational level within the social housing responsive repairs / voids sector. Demonstrable track record of managing multi-site contracts valued at £30m+. Exceptional leadership, communication, and client-facing skills. A flexible, proactive "can-do" attitude with a commitment to team success.
