CNC Setter / Operator Milling (5 Axis / HAAS) A well-established precision engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join their growing machine shop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong HAAS and 5 Axis machining experience to work within a high-quality manufacturing environment. Benefits: Full Time: Permanent Salary: Competitive Monday Thursday: 6:30am 3:00pm | Friday: 6:30am 2:00pm 36.5 hours per weekThe Role You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components to drawing specifications, ensuring quality standards and production deadlines are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities Setting and operating HAAS 3 Axis and 5 Axis CNC milling machines Setting tooling and workholding for production jobs Producing components to engineering drawings and quality standards Making program adjustments where required Changing over jobs, tooling and materials efficiently Deburring and cleaning machined components ready for inspection Working to production schedules and meeting delivery deadlines Supporting continuous improvement in machining processes and efficiency Assisting with tooling, stock control and material management Completing production paperwork and maintaining accurate records Maintaining high housekeeping and health & safety standardsSkills/Experience Required: Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar CNC machining role Strong experience with HAAS and/or Fanuc controls Proven background in 5 Axis machining Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience machining Aluminium, Mild Steel and Stainless Steel Experience using cavity and custom form tools Good understanding of quality procedures and inspection processes Able to work independently and as part of a small team Organised, methodical and proactive approach to work Experience quoting machining times and component costing Knowledge of ISO9001 quality standards HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualificationThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable and forward-thinking engineering business offering long-term career prospects and a supportive team environment
