Manual and mechanical street cleansing operations · Street washing · Removal of graffiti and fly-posting · Weed spraying operations · Weed removal operations · Emptying of bins and waste removal Leaf collection Qualifications All: · Full current driving licence · 7.5 tonne driver licence (or prepared to undertake and pass within 6 month period) Knowledge · Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace · Practical knowledge of City street map · Knowledge of vehicle operating licence requirements Experience - Experience in working outdoors in all weathers - Experienced in working on own initiative and on the spot decision making including dynamic risk assessments. - Previous experience operating plant and cleansing vehicles Aptitude & Skills · Interpret and action instructions · Ability to deliver work to agreed quality · Ability to communicate professionally at all levels. · Ability to carry out written work associated with the task, including filling in vehicle defect books and work allocation logs. · To conduct yourself in a professional manner when at work in a public environment as an ambassador to the council Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people
