We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 4 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to pupils in Year 4, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic and personal development. Location: Westminster - Closest station is Edgeware Road (Bakerloo Line) Working hours: Monday to Friday, full time Year group: Year 4 form group, 25-27 pupils per class Two form-entry primary school Very low SEN/Behavioural challenges High parental engagement Per pupil in KS2 has access to their own Chromebook for learning, and for home learningResponsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum for Year 4 pupils. Assess students' progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive environment. Support the social and emotional development of pupils through behaviour management techniques and pastoral care. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share best practices. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behaviour. Organise and supervise extracurricular activities that enhance the learning experience. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and behavioural incidents.Experience Proven experience in early childhood education or primary teaching, preferably within a Year 4 setting. Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to create a positive classroom atmosphere. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with students, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of current educational practices and curriculum standards relevant to Key Stage 2. A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS or equivalent is essential.
