Project Engineer - 40,000 - 60,000 + 4-Day Working Week - NottinghamThe RoleWe are working with an innovative engineering business specialising in robotics, automation and advanced engineering systems, supporting some of the world's leading aerospace organisations.Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to take ownership of complex engineering projects from initial requirements through to successful delivery.You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with internal engineering teams, subcontractors and blue-chip aerospace customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification and to the highest engineering standards.This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer with a strong understanding of robotics, automation and systems engineering who enjoys working in a technically challenging, customer-facing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage 2-3 engineering projects simultaneously, with values up to 2m.Lead projects from initial requirements through development, integration, testing and delivery.Coordinate 2-6 internal Project Engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.Manage customer and internal/external stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.Apply knowledge of robotics, automation and systems engineering to complex projects.Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and system-level requirements.Monitor schedules, resources, risks and milestones to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.Develop and implement recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule.Lead project meetings, technical reviews and customer presentations.Maintain project documentation, reporting and technical records.Ensure projects meet customer, quality and engineering requirements.Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes.RequirementsMinimum 2 years' experience as a Project Engineer, Systems Engineer or similar within an engineering environment.Strong knowledge of robotics, automation and systems engineering.Experience managing engineering projects up to 2m and multiple projects concurrently.Experience coordinating engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.Strong customer-facing and internal/external stakeholder management skills.Proven ability to manage project schedules, identify risks and recover projects that are falling behind.Strong communication, organisation, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.Proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and drive projects through to completion.DesirablesAerospace or advanced manufacturing experience.Experience delivering projects for blue-chip engineering customers.Knowledge of system integration, verification and validation.Experience within regulated or quality-critical engineering environments.The CompanyYou will be joining a specialist engineering business at the forefront of robotics, automation and advanced manufacturing technology, delivering complex systems to some of the world's leading aerospace organisations.The company works on technically challenging projects where engineering quality, precision and reliable project delivery are critical.You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on projects involving robotics, automation and complex integrated engineering systems, while having genuine ownership over project delivery.Package40,000 - 60,000 salary, depending on experience4-day working week (32 hours)Opportunity to work on complex robotics and automation projectsExposure to blue-chip aerospace customersResponsibility for high-value engineering projectsCareer development within a specialist engineering environmentOpportunity to work with experienced multidisciplinary engineering teamsApply now and don't miss out!Project Engineer - 40,000 - 60,000 + 4-Day Working Week - NottinghamOscar Associates (UK) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.To understand more about what we do with your data please review our privacy policy in the privacy section of the Oscar website.
