Social Worker Family Safeguarding

To safeguard and promote the health and wellbeing of children, young people and support their families and carers by working with cases appropriate to your assessed experience, skills and knowledge: • To manage and be professionally accountable, with supervision and support, for your own social work practice - to children, young people, families, carers, groups, individuals and partner agencies. • Assess needs thoroughly and to a good standard - analysing risk and developing integrated multi-agency safeguarding plans in line with Working Together 2015 • To professionally manage risk to children, young people, families, carers, self and others • Involve children (age appropriate in a child centred way), young people, families, carers, groups and partner agencies in all meetings, which may affect them and listen actively to what they have to say. Signposting for advocacy support if needed or wanted. • Make sure all options are explored before deciding on a plan.
