About the role

Role: Quality Management Lead (Civils) Position: Contract Location: Suffolk (Hybrid) Duration: 12 months Rate: £500-£550 per day (Umbrella, dependent on experience) Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5pm Overview Join the Sizewell C (SZC) megaproject, a major UK nuclear new build supporting Net Zero. This role ensures quality requirements are met across the full project lifecycle, working closely with supply chain partners and internal teams. Role Purpose The Quality Management Lead ensures compliance with QA/QC requirements across design, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning. Acting as the single point of contact (SPOC) for quality, you will oversee supply chain performance, implement quality plans, and ensure "Right First Time" delivery. Key Responsibilities Quality & Supply Chain Management Review and monitor Contractor Quality Assurance Plans (CQAPs) Develop Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs) Conduct supplier audits and technical assessments Manage non-conformances and corrective actions Oversee Quality Release Certification and LTQR processesManufacturing & Construction Oversight Ensure compliance with design and technical specifications Review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and surveillance activities Coordinate inspection bodies and supplier quality activities Perform audits, joint inspections, and surveillance Review manufacturing and construction documentation (EoMR, ECSR, EESR)Stakeholder & Reporting Act as "Intelligent Customer" for quality assurance Build relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams Monitor quality metrics and report performance Support continuous improvement and issue resolutionSkills & Knowledge Essential Strong QA/QC knowledge across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction & commissioning Experience in project delivery (ideally nuclear or safety-critical industry) Understanding of quality management best practices Stakeholder management and supply chain interface experience Data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to influence, challenge, and build relationships Proactive, flexible, and team-oriented Fluent EnglishDesirable Nuclear new build knowledge & site licence conditions French language skills Knowledge of welding, NDT/NDE, pressure & nuclear codesQualifications & Experience Essential Degree/HNC/HND in engineering/science (or equivalent) Proven experience in QA/QC leadership in nuclear or safety-critical industries Track record of delivering results and resolving stakeholder issuesDesirable Professional accreditation (e.g. CQI) Experience with regulators (e.g. ONR) Supplier management and commercial exposure Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or improvement methodologiesRullion celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants
