Materials Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description Echelon Engineers have an excellent opportunity for a BOM Engineer to join a leading manufacturer specialising in advanced machinery for clean room environments.This key role bridges Engineering and Projects departments, ensuring seamless coordination whilst taking ownership of manufacturing processes and driving cost reduction initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesTake full ownership of Sage Manufacturing operations within the departmentGenerate and manage work orders for production based on project requirementsCreate, update, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all productsAct as primary liaison between Engineering and Projects departmentsParticipate in design reviews and provide expert input on manufacturabilityEvaluate component manufacturing feasibility based on design specificationsAnalyse manufacturing costs and identify cost reduction opportunitiesCoordinate with operations and projects teams to ensure timely executionMonitor work order progress and resolve bottlenecks efficientlyLeverage historical product knowledge to support new product developmentEssential RequirementsProven experience in pre-production, manufacturing, or process engineeringStrong knowledge of multiple manufacturing methodsExperience managing sub-contract processesExcellent analytical skills with keen attention to detailOutstanding communication and teamwork abilitiesProficiency in manufacturing software and toolsDesirable RequirementsFamiliarity with Sage 200 and Sicon Manufacturing systemsExperience within clean room or regulated industriesUnderstanding of materials, processes, and tolerancesWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary packageComprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery for clean room applicationsCareer development in a specialised, stable sectorCollaborative working environmentTPBN1_UKTJ
