About the Production Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team on the 2nd shift within a fast-paced engineering environment. You will be responsible for overseeing production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and performance targets are consistently achieved.
This role is key to maintaining operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement, and developing a high-performing team. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on leadership, problem-solving, and delivering results in a dynamic production setting.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor
Lead, support, and develop a team of production staff, including performance management and training
Plan and allocate work, ensuring smooth workflow and effective shift handovers
Ensure all production output meets quality, safety, and delivery targets
Monitor KPIs and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions where required
Ensure strict adherence to health & safety standards across the shift
Collaborate with engineering, quality, logistics, and operations teams to resolve issues and improve processes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production operations
Manage shift communication and act as the key link between shopfloor and management
Evaluate production processes in line with industry and quality standards (e.g. ISO
Essential Experience & Skills of the Production Supervisor
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role within manufacturing
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Experience using ERP/MRP systems, BOMs, and inventory control processes
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
