Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) £45,000 – £55,000 DOE Rotating 3 Shift Pattern: * 6am – 2pm * 2pm – 10pm * 10pm – 6am Nights The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Leeds (LS9). This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive engineer who enjoys fault finding, continuous improvement, and working with modern automated production equipment. You will play a key role in supporting production operations, improving machinery performance, and minimising downtime across the factory. The Role - Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Working as part of an experience engineering team, you will provide both reactive and planned maintenance support across state-of-the-art production and packaging lines. You will be a key technical contact on shift, supporting both engineering and operational teams while driving improvements in reliability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities - Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer * Provide reactive maintenance support to production operations * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across plant and machinery * Fault finding on: * PLCs and automated equipment * Electrical systems and control panels * Pneumatic and hydraulic systems * Production and packaging machinery * Attend breakdowns and minimise downtime across site * Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics * Support machinery upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects * Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment * Drive continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability * Maintain accurate maintenance records and plant data * Work collaboratively with production teams to maximise machine performance What We’re Looking For - Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer * Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer with multi-skilled experience * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering * 17th/18th Edition desirable * Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, production, or industrial environments * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Experience working with PLCs and automated equipment * Ability to read technical drawings and schematics * Knowledge of preventative maintenance and continuous improvement environments * Experience with Lean, TPM, or 5S advantageous * Self-motivated with a proactive and positive attitude * Full UK driving licence and own transport preferred What’s on Offer - Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Salary between £45,000 – £55,000 DOE Rotating 3-shift pattern Overtime opportunities available Long-term career development Modern manufacturing environment Supportive engineering team Opportunity to work with state-of-the-art automated equipment Apply now if you’re a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge within a modern manufacturing environment in Leeds
