Lead the Future of Care Leavers – Team Manager (Children's Services) | Southwark Council | London Location: London (Hybrid Working Available) Role: Team Manager – 16+ Care and Care Leavers Service Contract: Locum | Full-Time | Monday to Friday Pay Rate: Up to £45.20 per hour Start Date: ASAP SW Locums is seeking an experienced Team Manager to join Southwark Council's 16+ Care and Care Leavers Service. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated team committed to supporting young people as they transition into independent adulthood while working within a highly regarded Children's Services department. The Role As Team Manager, you will: * Lead and supervise a team of 6 Personal Advisors. * Oversee the 16+ Care Leavers Service, including qualifying care leavers and the 21+ returnee pathway. * Provide strong leadership in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safeguarding and positive outcomes for young people. * Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver high-quality corporate parenting. * Participate in the management duty rota and support continuous service improvement. What We're Looking For * Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration. * Previous Team Manager or strong management experience within Children's Services. * Excellent knowledge of Leaving Care legislation and statutory responsibilities. * Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. * Passion for achieving positive outcomes for care-experienced young people.
