We are now looking for an Information Systems Support Technician to join us on a 37-hour per week basis. Working as part of the IS Section, you will join a team managing approximately 200 personal computers, WAN and VPN links, and a range of databases, whilst supporting staff and Members across multiple sites. You will also support desktop systems, limited network administration and GIS-related activity, helping ensure users have access to the systems, equipment and support they need. Install, maintain, support and upgrade desktop hardware, software and peripherals - Capture, input and digitise data and produce GIS maps - Carry out PAT testing and support limited desktop network administration - Control stock levels of computer and peripheral consumables - To be considered as an Information Systems Support Technician, you will need: - The ability to communicate in Welsh and English - Computer skills and experience of Office and general software - To be ready and willing to work within a team, but with the ability to work without supervision at times - A valid driving licence Other organisations may call this role IT Support Technician, IT Technician, Information Systems Technician, Desktop Support Technician, ICT Technician, Technical Support Technician, or Systems Support Technician.
