Team Manager Cholrely Council- Children's Services (Contract)
Are you a passionate leader with experience in social work and a drive to make a real difference in children’s lives? We are seeking a highly motivated Team Manager - Children's Services to join Lancashire County Council on a temporary contract within our Central Duty and Assessment teams. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated team of social workers responding to children and families in need of help and protection.
About the Role
As a Team Manager - Children's Services, you will oversee a team responsible for safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people. You will be vital in guiding and inspiring your team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that exceed expectations.
Your key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing a team of social workers in a dynamic environment
Driving continuous improvement through data analysis and service reviews
Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with internal teams, stakeholders, and communities
Promoting a strength-based, family-centered approach to child protection
Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and safeguarding policies
Fostering a positive, inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth and excellenceCandidate Responsibilities
The ideal Team Manager - Children's Services will possess strong leadership qualities and a commitment to service excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing inspirational leadership to motivate your team
Building trusting relationships with children, families, and partners
Using your influence to improve practice and service delivery
Analyzing performance data and reports, including Ofsted reviews, to identify areas for improvement
Implementing innovative strategies to enhance team performance
Upholding Lancashire’s values of partnership, respect, and inclusivityCandidate Requirements
Proven experience managing children’s social work teams
Passionate about safeguarding and families’ wellbeing
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement
Relevant social work qualification and registrationBenefits
pay rate 42 Ltd per hour inclusive of holiday pay or 33.40 PAYE exclusive of holiday pay
