HR Advisor – 6-Month Contract

A leading law firm is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join its People team on an initial six-month contract.

This is a great opportunity to take on a varied and hands-on advisory role within a professional, fast-paced environment. You will work closely with managers and employees across the firm, providing practical HR guidance and supporting the delivery of a high-quality people service.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing advice and guidance on employee relations matters

• Supporting managers with performance, absence, conduct and capability issues

• Managing HR cases from initial advice through to resolution

• Advising on firm policies, procedures and employment best practice

• Supporting organisational changes and wider people initiatives

• Working closely with the broader HR team to ensure a consistent employee experience

• Maintaining accurate records and producing relevant HR documentation

About you:

• Previous experience working as an HR Advisor or in a comparable generalist role at a UK-based law firm.

• Strong employee relations and case-management experience

• Confidence advising managers and senior stakeholders

• Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills

• The ability to manage competing priorities and sensitive matters professionally

• Experience within a law firm or professional-services environment would be advantageous
