Plant Operator Shifts

Plant Operator Hourly Rate £17.50 per hour As a Plant Operator at FCC Environment, you will operate mobile plant to support the acceptance, movement and placement of waste on site. You will help ensure site operations are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with company procedures, while maintaining high standards of customer service. This vacancy is for a full-time position. 20 days' annual leave, depending on full-time working arrangements, plus Bank Holidays - Pension scheme - Life insurance - On-the-job training and progression - Recognition scheme - Refer a friend - Flexible benefits, including high street savings, cycle to work scheme and Gymflex membership, and many more (where applicable) - Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors Service via our Wellbeing Platform Operating site plant safely and efficiently - Supporting the safe acceptance and movement of waste on site - Ensuring waste is managed in line with site procedures and permit requirements - Helping to maintain good housekeeping across the site, including welfare areas - Following site waste acceptance procedures, including sampling where required - Identifying and reporting non-conforming waste - Supporting site maintenance and holiday cover at other local operational sites if required - Experience or qualifications in operating heavy plant would be an advantage - Experience with equipment such as bulldozers, loading shovels, excavators, compactors, dumpers or tractors would be desirable - A flexible approach to work - A performance-driven approach with a focus on supporting operational improvement We are FCC Environment, one of the UKs leading waste and resource management companies.
