Shift: 8:00am - 10:00pm + sleep-in until 8:00am
We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to support young people aged 16-18 in a supported accommodation setting in Kettering.
This role is ideal for confident, resilient individuals with experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, self-harm, and trauma . You must be comfortable working long shifts, sleep-ins, and lone working .
Key Responsibilities:
Provide emotional, behavioural, and practical support
Manage and respond to challenging behaviour appropriately
Support young people with a history of self-harm and trauma
Promote independence, structure, and daily routines
Work one-to-one and independently during lone shifts
Maintain accurate records and reports
Follow safeguarding procedures and care plans at all times
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 1 year's experience supporting young people or young adults
Experience with challenging behaviour, self-harm, and trauma
Confident with lone working, long shifts, and sleep-ins
Strong communication skills and professional boundaries
Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management
Desirable:
Experience in residential or supported accommodation
Relevant Health & Social Care qualification
Knowledge of trauma-informed care
