Hours: 45 hours per week | Monday to Friday, 08:00 17:30
Salary: £41,301 £45,115.20 per year DOE
About the Role:
Were looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our Aftermarket team. Youll carry out repairs, refurbishments, and installations on a variety of refuse collection vehicles and equipment, ensuring all work is safe, compliant, and built to last.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding and re-plating on HGVs and RCVs
Strip and rebuild vehicle components including body, hopper, and bin lifts
Prepare vehicles to DVSA and high welding standards
Complete work on time and to customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate records and follow internal processes
Promote good housekeeping and safe working practices
Work safely, using PPE correctly
Support quality standards and report any issues
Ideal Candidate:
Qualified in welding/fabrication (BSEN 287 coding desirable)
Experienced in MIG welding and medium-heavy steel fabrication (210mm)
Able to read xwzovoh and interpret engineering drawings
Skilled in building and tack welding from drawings
Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and strong communication skills
Comfortable working in confined spaces and physically demanding environments
Willing to learn new skills and travel when needed
Experience in mechanical/hydraulic fitting or RCV work is a bonus
