- £50,000 Midlands Alecto Recruitment are working with a well-established power generation company who are seeking a Generator Engineer to support the servicing, maintenance, and installation of generator systems across customer sites, ensuring reliable performance and minimal downtime.
Benefits Competitive salary paid weekly Industry-leading pension scheme Company vehicle provided Full PPE, phone, and tablet supplied 20 days holiday bank holidays (increasing to 22 days after 12 months) Average working hours: 30-40 per week Key Responsibilities & Tasks Carry out servicing, maintenance, and installation of generator systems and control equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on generators and associated systems.
Work on control panels and switchgear, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely.
Conduct load bank testing and support upgrades to control systems.
Deliver high-quality work on customer sites while maintaining professional standards.
Skills & Requirements Time-served Generator Engineer.
Electrically biased with strong mechanical knowledge (18th Edition preferred).
Experience fault finding on generator control panels and switchgear.
Competent in portable load bank testing.
Familiar with Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) controllers and control system upgrades.
