- Progression Potential Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to handle materials, support shipping and receiving operations, and maintain efficient warehouse flow.
This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to safety, and experience in warehouse environments.
The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics setting, contributing to the smooth movement of goods and inventory management.
Responsibilities Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods.
Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs; report any mechanical issues for further maintenance.
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage to prevent damage or safety hazards.
Support stock organisation, replenishment, and order fulfilment activities as needed.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
Perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments.
Experience Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift within a warehouse or logistics environment.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements.
Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and troubleshooting is advantageous.
Experience in materials handling, load & unload procedures, and shipping & receiving processes.
Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and heavy lifting techniques.
Previous warehouse experience demonstrating reliability, organisational skills, and attention to detail is preferred. xwzovoh
