Job Summary

This is a full-time on-site position based in Horsham, for a Process engineering manager. The role involves managing the process department team to deliver process designs and engineering for new projects and in support of sales bids. 

Key Duties

• develop cost-effective process solutions for meeting client process requirements

• prepare design output registers, process flow diagrams, Energy and mass balances, P&IDs, datasheets, Design risk assessments and project documentation. 

• Provide engineering design advice for pre-contract sales

• Visit client sites for process reviews

• Review and check design output in accordance with RG012 Engineering Authorities Matrix

• Provide leadership and line management for the process engineering resource and external consultants

• Working within the company’s quality, safety and environmental procedures, help improve process design execution pre/post contract award

• Assist in the development of GRP process design procedures and applications understanding through documentation of personal know-how, written design procedures methods, and programmes

Essential Qualifications and skills

• Degree in chemical or process engineering

• Chartered engineer status

• Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience of process design for chemical process plants ideally with specialist experience in gas abatement technologies

• Full driving licence & valid passport

• Right to work in the UK
