Sector: Energy Transition / Low Carbon Infrastructure Location: Remote (UK) with occasional travel to Manchester, London, Newcastle & Glasgow offices
Contract Type: 6-month rolling contract
Rate: Up to £65.00 per hour (Umbrella)
We are seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Engineer to join a leading Energy Transition team , supporting the design and delivery of innovative, low-carbon infrastructure projects.
This is an opportunity to work on next-generation and first-of-a-kind energy technologies, contributing to projects that span the full asset lifecycle—from concept development through to detailed design, construction, commissioning, and operation.
You will play a key role in delivering practical, efficient and cost-effective structural engineering solutions within a multidisciplinary environment.
Develop civil and structural engineering solutions across feasibility, concept, FEED, value engineering, and detailed design stages
Produce key engineering deliverables including:
Structural 3D models
Foundation designs and RC detailing
Support development of integrated 3D plant models and layouts
Provide support across project lifecycle stages, including potential site involvement during construction and commissioning
Degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering discipline
Strong experience in civil and structural detailed design within energy or industrial sectors
Strong knowledge of the engineering design process, including scope development and calculation production
Proficiency in structural and CAD design tools, including:
Autodesk Revit
AutoCAD
Tekla
Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis (or STAAD Pro)
Civil 3D (desirable)
Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams and contributing to integrated design models
Strong communication skills with experience engaging clients, contractors, and vendors
Project Scope
Projects will support the Energy Transition and low-carbon infrastructure sector , including:
Industrial and process plant infrastructure
You will be working alongside developers, utilities, government bodies, EPC contractors, OEMs, and financial stakeholders.
Remote working with occasional UK office attendance
Exposure to high-profile energy transition projects
Collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment
