Class Teacher - Specialist School - Lyndhurst Start Date: September 2026 Prospero's client school is offering a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist provision supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, as well as associated neurodiversity, in a calm and nurturing environment. About the Provision This specialist day provision supports pupils aged 5-19 who benefit from a quieter, structured setting with a strong therapeutic ethos. Pupils have a range of abilities and may present with ASC, SEMH needs and associated challenges. The provision focuses on personalised learning and pupil‑centred development through: One‑to‑one and small‑group teaching Tailored academic and therapeutic support Enrichment projects, trips and activities that build confidence and broaden experiences A strong focus on emotional wellbeing, supported by consistent routines and positive relationships Your Role As Class Teacher, you will: Teach core subjects within a highly personalised curriculum Implement creative projects, trips and enrichment opportunities Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of needs, including behaviours that challenge Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils Work closely with a supportive team of LSAs, therapists and senior staff Contribute to a positive, collaborative and therapeutic school culture Support pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independence The Details Location: Lyndhurst / New Forest Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Long‑term or permanent Salary: MPS What You'll Need Right to work in the UK Full UK driving licence (due to location) QTS or relevant UK teaching experience Ability to teach core subjects Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Recent safeguarding training (or willingness to complete) References covering the last 24 months Preferential Experience Experience working with SEND, particularly pupils with behaviours that challenge Experience leading or teaching small groups with evidence of strong progress Experience teaching up to KS4 Why join Prospero Teaching?
