Countryside Ranger

Job Title: Countryside Ranger Location: Rochdale Borough Area Working Hours: Day shifts (predominantly outdoor work) Salary: £13.55 - £13.69 per hour We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Countryside Ranger to join our team within the Rochdale Borough area. This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys working in natural environments and contributing to the upkeep and sustainability of local green spaces. Countryside Ranger Key Responsibilities: Carry out general countryside maintenance, including fence repairs and installation Maintain and manage outdoor drainage systems Support and assist with educational sessions and community engagement activities Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with environmental and health & safety regulations Operate equipment and tools required for land management tasks Countryside Ranger Requirements: Full UK driving licence (essential) Valid and up-to-date PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates (essential) Experience in countryside management, grounds maintenance, or a similar outdoor role Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills, particularly when supporting educational activities Countryside Ranger Desirable: Previous experience in a ranger or environmental role Knowledge of local wildlife and conservation practices What We Offer for a Countryside Ranger: Competitive hourly rate with clear opportunity for pay progression Opportunity to work in a varied and rewarding outdoor role Involvement in community-focused and environmental initiatives Supportive working environment If you are passionate about the outdoors and have the required certifications and experience, we would love to hear from you.
