PPA Cover Teacher (EYFS–Year 6)
Location: DN3Start Date: September 2026Contract: Full academic year 2026/2027Pay: £150–£160 per day for the first 12 weeks, then paid to scale thereafter
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic PPA Cover Teacher to join our school from September 2026 for the full 2026/2027 academic year. This role offers the opportunity to become a valued and consistent presence within a friendly, supportive school community.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide PPA cover across EYFS through to Year 6 and will take on full teacher responsibilities, including planning, teaching, assessment and marking. The school is keen to appoint someone who will be treated as, and feel like, a permanent member of staff, fully involved in school life.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Take full responsibility for planning, teaching, marking and assessments
- Adapt teaching approaches and behaviour management strategies to suit different age groups
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils across the school
- Contribute to assessments, tracking and progress monitoring
- Attend and actively participate in parents’ evenings
- Get involved in the wider school community, including running clubs and enrichment activities
- Work collaboratively with staff and leadership to ensure continuity and consistency
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold QTS
- Be confident teaching EYFS through to Year 6
- Demonstrate strong and adaptable behaviour management skills
- Be flexible, proactive and well organised
- Enjoy building relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Be eager to fully engage in school life and make a positive, long-term impact
Pay and Benefits
- £150–£160 per day for the first 12 weeks
- Paid to scale after 12 weeks, in line with experience and qualifications
- Full academic year placement with consistency and stability
