Head of Film and Media Studies

TLR 2.3 (£8,609 per annum)Required for September 2026

The College is seeking an inspirational and dynamic Head of Film and Media Studies to lead and further develop this successful and popular department. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Media/Film specialist to shape curriculum, inspire creativity, and drive outstanding student outcomes across key stages.

We welcome applications from experienced practitioners, including those returning to work after a career break.

About the Role

As Head of Film and Media Studies, you will:

  • Lead the strategic development and day-to-day management of Film and Media Studies
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching and learning
  • Line manage and support department staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and high expectations
  • Drive consistently strong outcomes and progress for all students
  • Contribute to whole-school leadership and development

This role attracts a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR 2.3) of £8,609 per annum.

Our Film and Media Department is a high-performing, creative and forward-thinking team passionate about making learning relevant, engaging and ambitious.
