School Caretakers – Doncaster

Long-term & Short-term Assignments Available

Reed Education is currently recruiting School Caretakers to support a range of schools across Doncaster. We have a variety of long-term and short-term opportunities, offering flexibility to suit your availability, including split shifts and full-day roles.

Pay

• From £14.50 per hour, depending on experience and role requirements

The Role

As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in ensuring school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained. Responsibilities may include:

• Opening and closing school buildings
• Carrying out basic repairs, maintenance, and DIY tasks
• Monitoring site security and responding to alarms
• Supporting health and safety compliance on site
• Liaising with school staff, contractors, and visitors

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities management or caretaking
• Strong DIY and maintenance skills
• A proactive attitude with the ability to use initiative
• Willingness and ability to obtain a full Enhanced DBS check

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge and understanding of:
• COSHH
• Asbestos awareness
• Fire safety and compliance
