Senior Mechanical Estimator

Overview An established and growing MEP contractor is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join its pre-construction team in Central London.

The business operates across a diverse portfolio of projects including major infrastructure, commercial developments, rail and technically complex MEP schemes , with project values ranging from £1m to £100m .

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of high-value tenders, work closely with senior leadership, and play a key role in securing major projects across London and the South East.

Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation of detailed mechanical cost estimates from first principles for large-scale MEP projects Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications , identifying risks, gaps and opportunities Manage the full tender process including enquiry packages, supply chain engagement and bid submissions Analyse and level subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure compliance and commercial accuracy Develop value engineering solutions and alternative proposals to enhance competitiveness Collaborate with design, xwzovoh commercial and delivery teams to ensure buildable and cost-effective solutions Produce tender clarifications, assumptions and risk registers Attend and contribute to client meetings, bid reviews and post-tender negotiations Support junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement within the pre-construction function
