Civil Design Engineer - Hybrid

Civil Design Engineer | Water & Wastewater £40,000 – £60,000 Hertfordshire (Hybrid – 3 days office/site) Permanent | Full Time | 40 hours Are you a Civil Design Engineer looking to work on infrastructure that genuinely makes a difference? We’re recruiting for a growing design team delivering water and wastewater treatment projects across the UK. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of civil design packages and play a key role across the full project lifecycle — from feasibility through to construction support. Lead and coordinate civil design packages across multiple projects Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and process teams Ensure designs meet buildability, safety, and regulatory standards Support design risk reviews, technical documentation, and construction phases 5+ years’ experience in civil design engineering (water/wastewater preferred) ~ Strong experience with earthworks, foundations, structures, and drainage ~ Confident working in multidisciplinary project teams ~ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Revit ~ Understanding of BIM processes and collaborative design workflows ~ Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) Work on essential infrastructure projects with real‑world impact Join a collaborative, technically strong engineering environment If you’re ready to step into a role where your designs help shape vital infrastructure, we’d love to hear from you.
