- Ware Location: Ware, Hertfordshire Start Date: ASAP / September start available Sector: Education and training Contract: Full-time, long-term / permanent opportunities available Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience About the Specialist SEN Teacher Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Specialist SEN Teacher to join a highly respected special school in Ware, supporting children and young people with severe and complex learning difficulties in the the education and training sector.
This is a rewarding opportunity in the education and training sector to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with a range of needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and associated communication and sensory needs.
You will be responsible for delivering highly individualised, engaging, and accessible learning experiences that support both academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Specialist SEN Teacher Plan and deliver tailored lessons in line with individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) Adapt teaching approaches to meet complex learning, communication, and sensory needs Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider multidisciplinary teams Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment Use a range of communication strategies including PECS, Makaton, and visual supports Track and assess pupil progress in line with school policies Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment opportunities About You
- Ware Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience working within SEN settings (PMLD, SLD, ASD preferred) Strong understanding of person-centred and inclusive teaching approaches Passionate about supporting children with complex xwzovoh needs Resilient, patient, and adaptable in your teaching style Team player with excellent communication skills Why Join?
