Clinical Pharmacist

New NHS Opportunity – Band 7 / 8a Clinical Pharmacist | West Yorkshire

I’m pleased to share a new opportunity for an experienced Band 7 or Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist to join one of the NHS hospitals in West Yorkshire .

This is a full-time locum role (37.5 hours, Monday–Friday) , working cross-site depending on service needs . Occasional evening working up to 6:00pm may be required.

Location: West Yorkshire

Start: ASAP – 3 months+

Pay Rate: £30–£36 ph umbrella (or its PAYE equivalent)

Role Highlights

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services including prescription review and medicines optimisation
• Provide expert medicines advice to healthcare professionals, patients, and carers
• Support high-risk and complex prescribing decisions
• Participate in audit, research, and service development
• Contribute to training and education across the pharmacy team

✅ Key Requirements

• MPharm (or equivalent) and GPhC registration
• Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent)
• Previous NHS hospital experience
• Strong clinical pharmacy and medicines management knowledge
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to CPD
• Independent Prescriber qualification desirable (not essential)
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
