Salary: Grade 5 scale: £25,614 - £31,325 per annum plus sleep in payments £83.36 x 2-3 per week

Hours: 40 hours rota shift working hours (including breaks)

Contract Status: Permanent

Location: MUST Hostel, Cookstown

About the service:

Extern MUST Hostel is a temporary accommodation provider for women and men who are homeless and have complex needs with regard to their mental health, substance use or experience of the criminal justice system. Over recent years, MUST Hostel has enjoyed a professional reputation for its provision of a caring and humane service where intervention and support are based on the needs of the service users.

You will provide support to individuals who are vulnerable and have complex needs. This post involves working intensively with people with mental health and physical health problems, addiction issues and learning disability. The post involves working in partnership with service users within the residential environment to reduce their risk of reoffending and work towards successful resettlement to independent accommodation in the community. The post includes a wide range of practical assistance, intervention, advocacy and liaison with both statutory and voluntary agencies and the ability to assess, manage and work effectively with risk.
