Business Data Analyst As a Business Data Analyst in the financial services industry, you'll play a key role in analysing and interpreting complex data to support decision-making. Based in London, this permanent role involves working closely with internal teams to ensure data-driven strategies are effectively implemented. Client Details Business Data Analyst This role is within the financial services sector and is based in London. Description Business Data Analyst Partner with Front Office and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical and reporting solutions. Gather, challenge, and document business requirements across multiple teams. Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and data quality issues. Create dashboards, reporting packs, and management information using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and SQL. Support system, reporting, and process enhancement initiatives. Identify opportunities for automation, AI adoption, and operational efficiency improvements. Work closely with Technology, Data, and Change teams to deliver business improvements. Present insights, recommendations, and project updates to senior stakeholders.Profile Business Data Analyst A successful Business Data Analyst should have: Proven experience as a Business Data Analyst, Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role within financial services. Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills. Experience working directly with Front Office teams is highly desirable. Candidates from other financial services environments, including Risk, Finance, Operations, Change, Business Management, or Regulatory functions, will also be considered. Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets. Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools. Advanced Excel skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and engage stakeholders at all levels. Experience documenting business requirements, processes, and operating procedures. Exposure to process improvement, transformation, AI, or automation initiatives would be advantageous.Job Offer Business Data Analyst Competitive salary of £55,000 to £65,000, + Bonus - dependent on the level of experience.
