The Role
You will work closely with the Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, and safeguarding. You will lead by example, support staff development, and help create a positive, nurturing environment for children and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Support the daily operations of the nursery
Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team
Ensure full compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements
Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Oversee planning, observations, and children's development
Maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment
Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence
Requirements
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding
Previous experience in a senior or supervisory nursery role
Leadership skills with the ability to support and delegate effectively
A positive, professional, xwzovoh and proactive approach
A genuine passion for early years education and childcare
Salary and Benefits
£32,000 – £40,000 per year
