About the role

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

  • Shift pattern: Monday to Friday with on call
  • Fixed term post for 12 months

Applications are welcome for the Locum Rheumatology and General Medicine Consultant post within the department of Rheumatology Medicine based at Inverclyde Royal Hospital (IRH). The department is closely linked to the wider Rheumatology team across the Clyde Sector, providing a general Rheumatology Service and access to a number of sub-specialities.

Post duration: 12 months to support delivery of inpatient care and arise due to special leave within the existing consultant workforce. The successful applicant will join an extensive team of Acute and General Physicians.

Qualifications

  • Full GMC registration and licence to practise
  • FRCA (or equivalent) and eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
  • Evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT in General (Internal) Medicine or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR)
  • UK trained applicants must be within 6 months of confirmed entry; non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the IRH consultant medical receiving rota.
